Young woman receives backlash for stating she’s “too pretty” to work the rest of her life !

An internet influencer claims she’s “too pretty” to work, setting off a global firestorm

When an influencer claimed in a TikTok post that she is simply “too pretty” for the routine of job, the internet community became enraged. Netizens were incensed at her remark that employment is only for a group of ugly individuals, labelling her as “shallow” and “entitled.” To find out more about Lucy Welcher’s contentious article, continue reading!

Social media celebrity Lucy Welcher, who has nearly 20 million likes on her posts, recently shared a video that went viral.

The young blonde, who calls herself “the worst type of person…who cannot handle getting their own way,” is often shown in videos sulking over a haul from one of her favourite stores or enjoying an iced coffee while sitting in her car.

The 20-year-old uploaded a TikTok video on November 8, 2022, with the message, “Not my thing [laughing emoji] #working #scam.” “I don’t want to spend the rest of my life working.

Does this mean that for the next sixty years, I want to wake up at six a.m. every f**king day? Not at all! In the nine-second film, woman exclaimed, “I’m too pretty for that.” Comments from viewers came in swift succession, with many criticising the content creator for being “lazy” and “entitled.” “Girl, I wish I had your self-assurance—to feel as though I’m more attractive than I really am. God, you people are so self-absorbed and shallow,” a TikToker comments.

Another person said, “Someone’s entitled.” “Girl, I hope you receive humility; you deserve it. It’s awful that you have such mindset and that appearance has no bearing on productivity. “How about trying to be an adult instead of a privileged princess expecting life to be handed to you?” a third cybernaut sniped.

After removing the contentious video in response to user criticism, Welcher—who claims that viewers didn’t realise it was a joke—shared a new post in which she claimed that she was being “slandered all over social media for that video I posted.”

With a sardonic flourish, the TikTok celebrity goes on to rectify and examine several web articles in which she refutes having “class cars” or making $100,000 USD a year. Welcher adds that she is Canadian and finds it amusing that people think she lives in a mansion because “my house is literally falling apart.”

Welcher, who enjoyed the attention, posted a fresh video of herself enjoying her iced coffee a few days later on November 14. Welcher recreates the dialogue from her removed “I’m too pretty” video, captioning it, “Remake of the most hated video I’ve ever made.” Most internet users supported her this time since they saw her previous remark was meant to be humorous.

One says, “You’re absolutely right; getting up early to go to work will ruin your good looks.” “This video and the first one gave me life,” comments a second. One more, an advocate for attractive individuals, writes, “You are too beautiful for that.” These are the harsh realities of life. How does this influencer’s post appeal to you?
