Two women were chatting in Heaven. “Hey, Sylvia! How did you pass away?” one inquired gently.
Sylvia replied with a serene smile, “I froze to death.”
“How dreadful!” exclaimed the other woman.
“It wasn’t as terrible as you might think,” Sylvia reassured her. “Once the initial chill passed, I felt warm and peaceful. It was a tranquil end.”
Turning to her companion, she asked, “And what about you?”
The second woman sighed, “I suffered a massive heart attack.”
Curious, Sylvia asked, “What happened?”
“I had a hunch my husband was being unfaithful, so I rushed home early to catch him in the act,” the woman explained. “But when I got there, he was alone in the den watching TV.”
“And then?” Sylvia prompted.
“Well, I was so convinced there was someone else hiding somewhere that I tore through the entire house searching,” the woman recounted. “I scoured the attic, combed through the basement, and even checked every closet and under every bed. I was relentless.”
Sylvia listened intently before responding with a hint of irony, “It’s a pity you didn’t check the freezer. We might both still be alive.”
