Matte Army Green 1949 Dodge Power Wagon Restomod

Matte army green with black fenders, the Dodge‘s exterior does a good job combining its classic looks with its modern running gear. Said running gear includes Stockton wheels with Warn locking front hubs mounted on Super Swamper Radial/TSL tires, as well as four-wheel disc brakes, the calipers of which were repainted in 2019. Additional equip ment includes a Braden MU-2 transmission-driven winch, retractable side steps, and a wood-lined bed.

Power Wagon gets 20 mpg with this combination, however, it’s not exactly quick, hitting 60 mph in about 13 seconds. A Iighter and more powerful supercharged LSA V-8 from GM is available, along with a lighter aluminum transmission and transfer case.

Moving inside, the cabin features brown Ieather seats front and rear, black door panels and carpet, and white stitching on the rear bench. The truck’s three-spoke steering wheel frames a 10,000-rpm tachometer and a 200 mph (322 km/h) speedometer, aIthough we don’t think its engine, while certainly powerful, would allow it to come even close to either of those numbers.

Interior amenities include power steering, power windows, and air conditioning.
