For generations, TV audiences have delighted in watching “I Dream of Jeannie,” the classic 1960s sitcom featuring an astronaut who discovers a 2,000-year-old female genie at home.
Despite the seemingly whimsical premise, viewers were captivated by the talented and stunning actress at the heart of the show: Barbara Eden, who portrayed Jeannie.
Now, it’s hard to believe, but Barbara has reached the age of 90!
Nevertheless, she remains vibrant and active, and she views age as merely a number. In a 2021 interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Barbara expressed her excitement about getting back to work and her optimistic outlook on life.
Even at her age, Barbara has not retired; she kept working until the pandemic hit. Despite testing positive for COVID-19 with her husband, she recovered with only a mild case and continues to maintain good health.

Throughout her illustrious career, which began in San Francisco, Barbara has demonstrated her versatility as both a singer and an actress. Her breakthrough role in “I Dream of Jeannie” solidified her legendary status, and she fondly recalls the remarkable chemistry she shared with co-star Larry Hagman.
