Candace Cameron Bure Responds Strongly Following Criticism for Supporting Conventional Marriage
Candace Cameron Bure is standing up to her critics after facing backlash for advocating for “traditional marriage.”
Recently, we reported on the Hollywood star’s remarks about her new network, Great American Family, where she emphasized the focus on stories centered around “traditional marriage.”
As the chief creative officer for GAF network, Cameron Bure, known for her roles in “Full House” and “Fuller House,” is unyielding in her response to the criticism she received.
At 46 years old, she was labeled a “bigot” for her stance on keeping “traditional marriage at the core” of the network’s storytelling. In response, she gracefully issued a statement reaffirming her views while also holding firm to her cherished beliefs.
“I Am A Devoted Christian,” she stated. “Those who know me well are fully aware of my immense love and respect for all individuals. The thought of intentionally offending or hurting anyone deeply saddens me.”
“It’s unfortunate that the media often seeks to create divisions, even during times as joyous and heartwarming as Christmas movies,” Cameron Bure continued. “But given the current toxic climate in our culture, I can’t say I’m surprised. Christmas is needed more than ever.”
Moreover, Cameron Bure didn’t shy away from reasserting her steadfast Christian faith, which she has openly embraced for many years.
