An Old Man’s Confession

One day, an elderly man walked into a church, approached the confessional booth, and took a seat. The priest opened the little window, ready to listen.

The man began, “Father, I have a confession to make. I am 75 years old, and I’ve been married to my wonderful wife for 50 years. In all those years, I have been completely faithful to her.”

The priest smiled warmly and nodded. “That’s a wonderful testament to your commitment. But what is it you wish to confess?”

The man hesitated, then admitted, “Well, yesterday, I broke that faithfulness. I was intimate with a 21-year-old.”

The priest, a bit taken aback, asked, “When was the last time you made a confession?”

The old man replied, “Father, I’ve never made a confession. I’m Jewish.”

The priest furrowed his brow, confused. “If you’re not Catholic, then why are you telling me this?”

The old man grinned widely and said, “I’m not just telling you, Father—I’m telling everybody!”

Sometimes, a little mischief keeps the spirit young!
