A man discovers a wallet containing $700. Days later, he finds a note offering a $50 reward for its return, revealing that a wealthy individual lost it.

Upon returning the wallet, the wealthy man accuses him of pocketing part of the cash, claiming it originally held $750. An argument ensues, leading to a courtroom confrontation.

The poor man presents his case first, followed by the wealthy man, who confidently asserts, “Your Honor, I trust you, you trust me.”

The judge acknowledges the trust but rules in favor of the poor man, stating, “If the finder were dishonest, he wouldn’t have returned the wallet at all.” The wallet is returned to its discoverer.

Infuriated, the wealthy man protests, demanding his money. The judge responds, “We’ll have to wait until your wallet with $750 is found.”
