A Capella Rendition of ‘God Bless The United States’ By Home Free featuring Lee Greenwood and US Air Force Ensemble
‘God Bless America’ was initially released in 1984 by Lee Greenwood. He always felt a strong desire to craft a patriotic song, and when the tragic event of Korean Air Lines Flight 007 being shot down occurred, Lee knew the moment had come to unify the nation. The song gained popularity on the country charts, but it wasn’t until the September 11th attacks that it transformed into a cultural sensation.
‘And I take pride in being a citizen of the United States
Where I’m assured of my freedom
And I shall never forget the brave souls who perished
Those who sacrificed to bestow that right upon me’
Home Free is an American a cappella ensemble that participated and emerged victorious in the fourth season of The Sing-Off. Comprising members Austin Brown, Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp, Tim Foust, and Adam Chance, Home Free has been sharing their distinctive harmonies for numerous years. Today, they are collaborating with the renowned singer Lee Greenwood and The United States Air Force Band for this extraordinary rendition of ‘God Bless The USA.’
‘And I would willingly stand by your side
And protect this nation even today
Because there’s no doubt that I hold immense love for this land
May God bestow His blessings on the U.S.A.’
Amid challenging times our nation encounters, we can discover solace in the knowledge that we are all beloved children of God, cherished equally. When we stand united, God will shower our land with blessings and illuminate our path.
