Barry Manilow Reveals His Homosexuality at 73 – Introduce His Partner of Nearly Four Decades.

Barry Manilow has been an infectious and endearing vocalist throughout his career, crafting songs that resonate with audiences worldwide, creating a global sing-along experience. Despite initial skepticism from critics, hits like “The Mandy” and “Copacabana (At the Copa)” propelled him to international fame in the 1970s.

However, behind the fame, Manilow harbored a significant secret for a large part of his life – he publicly came out as gay at the age of 73. Despite the challenges, he now lives a fulfilling life alongside his husband, Garry, and their daughter, exuding happiness.

While Manilow has long been a heartthrob for his fans across the globe, some have speculated about the possibility of plastic surgery. But the unyielding 78-year-old Brooklyn native has no qualms about sharing the truth.

Let’s delve into the story of Barry Manilow and take a glimpse at his present appearance.

Born on June 17, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, Manilow’s lineage reflects his grandparents’ Russian heritage, and interestingly, he also has Irish roots through his father, Harold.

However, discussing his Irish heritage was discouraged during his early years. Manilow recounted, “The fact that Harold was an Irish truck driver was hidden from the family. It was considered a terrible thing for my mother to have done. They wouldn’t even allow my name to be Kelliher. They changed it immediately.”

Reflecting on his early life, he added, “When I was born, I was called Barry Pincus. They had to dig deep into my father’s family to find one Jewish relative. They went back to the 1800s and found one uncle, a Jewish guy called Pincus. My mother made my father change his name to Pincus.”
