Take a Closer Look at This Tom Hanks Video, and You’ll Understand Why His Fans Are Worried

Earlier this month, there was concern among Tom Hanks’ fans as he appeared to struggle with controlling the shaking of his arm. Speculations arose regarding potential health issues such as Parkinson’s disease or other serious conditions. Despite these concerns, Hanks remained dedicated to promoting his latest project, a Baz Luhrmann biopic of Elvis Presley, where he portrays the singer’s manager.

Luhrmann, originally from Sydney, Australia, chose to film the Elvis movie in Brisbane, Australia, highlighting his Australian roots. The premiere of the film was held along the Gold Coast, just fifty miles from Brisbane.

At the June 4, 2022 premiere, attended by Hanks and the movie’s star, 30-year-old Austin Butler, who plays Elvis, Hanks expressed his appreciation for the filming location, stating, “There is no better place in the world to make a motion picture than right here on the Gold Coast.” However, some fans noted Hanks’ apparent hand tremor while holding the microphone during his speech, sparking concerns on social media about his health.

During his address to the audience, Hanks’ hand holding the microphone began to shake uncontrollably. Despite this, Hanks continued his speech, at one point referencing the Australian liquor store chain, Dan Murphy’s, to applause.

Despite his visible struggle, the audience seemed unaware of Hanks’ potential health issue. Hanks attempted to steady his shaking hand by placing his left hand on the microphone and alternating between hands.

Despite the challenges, Hanks expressed gratitude to the audience and the Gold Coast community for their support. He praised the confidence and vibrancy of the area and thanked Baz Luhrmann for his love and dedication to Australia.
