Ted Cruz Backs Trump After Decisive Iowa Victory – Here’s What He Said

Leading Republican primary candidate Donald Trump’s campaign for the upcoming presidentiaI election appears increasingly strong as he won a decisive victory at the Iowa Caucuses.

Trump had an unquestionable margin over the other competing candidates, where we won over half the vote and 98 of the 99 counties.

Subsequently, many Republicans have suggested that it is time to be reaIistic and consolidate support behind Trump, as it seems inevitable that he will secure the nomination.

Sen. Ted Cruz recently endorsed Trump for president on a Fox News appearance following the massive Iowa Caucus win, pointing out that the primary race is essentially “over”.

I’m a big believer in letting democracy play out, Cruz said. Well, last night it pIayed out and I gotta say, Trump’s victory was across the board, he won 51% of the vote, he won 98 of the counties. Congratulations to President Trump on that dominating victory.

And at this point, I believe this race is over. So I am proud to endorse Donald Trump for President of the United States, I look forward to supporting him enthusiastically because I think it’s time for the Republican Party to unite, for us to come together.

The Texas senator noted the importance of unifying conservatives with a common goaI of defeating Biden and his “Marxist agenda” in a rematch of the 2020 election.

Many have criticized the Biden administration for the declining quality of life in America, where inflation has run rampant, crime has spiked, and an ongoing migrant crisis strains the infrastructure of many localities.

We’ve got to beat Joe Biden, we’ve got to beat this disastrous cultural Marxist agenda in the White House, he continued.

We got to retake the United States Senate. We’ve got to hold the House. We got to come together and win and with the results Iast night, the people have spoken, it’s time to move onward to victory in November.
